符合相关标准的 PD 应能够从任一两套线对（RJ45 的 1/2、3/6 或者 4/5、7/8 引脚）获得电源。标准的合规 PD OR 是连接单电源馈电到 PD 控制器的桥接连接。如果将 PSE 的 DC 电压同时施加给两套线对，那么 PD 的二极管桥将会整流，OR 将桥接两套线对。由于 PSE 源的连接、二极管的正向压降以及电源线的电阻不相同，会出现某种电流共享失配（即一套线对提供的负载电流大于另一套线对）。
